Progress Update - July 3
Hey everyone, this is a quick check-in as progress toward the next milestone continues to steam ahead! 🚂 I'm aiming to have the next release ready to go this weekend 🤘
What are we working on?
The characters starring in our new encounters are being polished up - if you've played our older Island demo environment, Yasmin and her gambling table will be a familiar face here - we've also got a pair of elves on the way.
Each zone has grown in size to allow for our new encounters. We've also implemented enemy camps - essentially a set of encounters with a unique, preset layout, including chokepoints and varying angles of approach (example pictured above). The adventure zones are starting to feel alive!
I also got a bunch of audio improvements and bug fixes done this week, including ambient audio on the island, monster shouts, and volume controls that save/load correctly 😬
When is the next build coming out?
0.9.0 will be ready for Early Access release this weekend. The General Access release will then follow in late July.
